# Recording Compliance Draft

This is product-planning copy, not legal advice. Have a lawyer review the final app copy, EULA, privacy policy, and onboarding before launch.

## Why This Needs Product UX

Recording laws vary by jurisdiction and by conversation type. Some violations can create criminal exposure, civil lawsuits, or both. The product should make consent and responsibility explicit before recording starts.

## First-Run Notice Draft

In Cog Meet O can record meeting audio and generate meeting reports. You are responsible for using it lawfully.

Before recording, make sure you have all consents, notices, permissions, and rights required by the laws and policies that apply to you, the meeting, and every participant. Recording rules vary by location and context. Do not use In Cog Meet O to record conversations you are not allowed to record.

By continuing, you acknowledge that you are responsible for your recordings, transcripts, reports, storage, sharing, and deletion decisions.

## Pre-Record Confirmation Draft

Before recording, confirm that you have the consent and permission required to record this meeting.

Suggested checkbox:

`I have the required consent and permission to record this meeting.`

Suggested action labels:

- `Start Recording`
- `Cancel`

## In-App Footer / Settings Copy

You are responsible for complying with recording, privacy, workplace, platform, and participant-notice requirements that apply to your use of In Cog Meet O.

## Product Requirements
